The development of the historic area in Haram

A comprehensive vision is formed to secure harmony between the upgrade aspects and the historic nature of the site by adding a distinguished style of architecture in five historic sites : The Pyramids entrance- The three Pyramids - Sphinx - the Panorama -The surrounding fences.

The projected development works included the following:

1- Rehabilitation of all the paved roads and pathways inside and outside the site.
2- Establishing an electronic gateway in the entrance of the historic area from Haram street.
3- Paving the parking area in front of the Great Pyramid.
4- Contracting with a special company to keep the area clean.
5- Establishing information wooden kiosks to provide the services offered by the Egyptian Tourism Authority.

6- Providing 9 toilets manufactured by the Arab Organization For Industrialization.
7- Designing and supplying 100 display units ( tables).
8- Surrounding the three Pyramids area with barriers.
9- Building limestone fences to define track passages.
10- Paving a concrete road leading to Sphinx.
11- Developing the Sphinx entrance and evacuating it from Itinerant salesmen.
12- Fixing banners and illustrative maps.
13- Establishing three offices for Tourism Police.
14- Building fixed sunshades for pedestrians and cars.
